The February half-term ski holidays are fast approaching, and with the snow already falling in the resort, demand is already high as parents seek to secure their favourite ski in ski out chalets and a chance for all ages to share a week of outdoors (and in) fun amongst Europe’s most stunning vistas.

Boredom won’t be an option, there’s skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sight-seeing, ice-caves, swimming, huski and horse sleigh rides, and much more all close by. At ski in ski out Chalet No.5 there’s just as much fun to be had, games galore, a full-sized pool table, cinema, hot tub, sauna and massage room and plenty more to do too.

Family Time For All Ages

Few sports and holidays pull everyone, all ages, together in quite the same way. Mums and Dads, son’s and daughter’s, friends, aunties and uncles, grandparents, it is such an inclusive holiday where even different abilities can share lifts, lunches, the fresh mountain air, dinners, et al together. You don’t even have to ski or snowboard to enjoy the experience.

Ski in ski out really mean you can ski from and back to the door. Shuffling awkwardly with coats, skis, kids and much more along icy paths can be a thing of the past. Step outside, clip in, and away you go. The lifts and ski school just a short ski down the blue Aillouds piste.

Non-skiers, or those looking not to ski or snowboard all the time are just as well catered for in the Chamonix Valley, not only is there a south-facing decking at ski in ski out Chalet No.5 for some sun and relaxation, there’s the sunken hot tub to relax, a sauna to enjoy, films to watch, books to read, and massage and treatments to be organised for that pampered moment in the Massage and Treatments Room. Away from the chalet, Chamonix has a vast array of shops and restaurants, l’Aiguille du Midi and Montenvers for stunning sights and scenery, and how about the Chamonix Mont Blanc Spa for some extra R&R in a beautiful setting. Forest trails means walking can be great fun for those looking to get out and about into the wilderness, and snowshoeing also optional for the even more energetically inclined.

Fun In the Snow

Young and old, the large garden at ski in ski out chalet No.5 is a chance to relax or play, daytime or evenings, building snowmen (and women), sledging, or just watching the skiers and snowboarders glide by, it a great space for enjoying the great outdoors, the Mont Blanc massif in the background the perfect backdrop.

In the centre of the village there is an ice skating rink and a sledging area for all ages.

And if you want to get a head start and arrive that little bit earlier, how about a Friday departure and a stop along the way. Chateau’s and hotel pepper the route to get the holiday started on the perfect footing.
