Ski and Snowboard Holidays 2019

SKI & SNOWBOARD HOLIDAYS 2019

SKI HOLIDAYS &

SNOWBOARD VACATIONS

Whilst many of us are enjoying the sunshine in the mountains or our favourite sandy beaches, those of us in the ski chalet industry already have one eye on the 2019 ski and snowboard holiday season with just four months away.

Time never stands still as we all know. Experienced ski and snowboard holiday operators like ourselves also appreciate that also means the next four months will fly and hence we are already ahead of the game and planning the latest improvements and ensuring we have the same great staff ready to welcome you next year to ski in ski out Chalet No.5 is addressed now.

For those that may be interested, refurbishments of the main upstairs bedrooms is planned to commence at the end of the Chamonix summer season, with some further improvements in the Wellness and Games areas. We will bring you more information and updates on this during the Autumn so stay posted.

PLANNING YOUR SKI & SNOWBOARD HOLIDAYS

SKI AND SNOWBOARD HOLIDAYS BEST MONTHS

THE FACTORS TO CONSIDER

BEST WEEKS AND MONTHS TO COME

There really is no right and wrong answer to this question and whilst this seems a slight cop-out, it is actually true. Christmas is one of our favourites with the snow fresh from early falls and hardly anyone having skied the beautifully manicured pistes prior to this week. Conditions are therefore typically perfect as many once again found out last year after the heavens opened early in November and early December. Atmospheric charm and the family friendly ambience of Christmas are then followed by the New Year ski holidays party crowd! A lively week as people seek to party and get over the extensive eating and drinking of the previous week. Can be busy but no one notices as skiing, snowboarding and apres-ski mingle into one.

Heading into January, a month where the slopes seem to widen, the powder last that little bit longer, its crispness just a delight to ski or snowboard. Air temperatures are generally a little cooler than February however and the sun that little bit lower, but if pistes at times seeming you own is your thing, and great snow, it os a great month! February follows and the warmer days normally start to follow. Good conditions are the norm as snow and sunshine often blend into one but it will be busier than January. March is next and another month we love. Warm spring skiing and snowboarding in sunshine. The pistes soften a little and the suntans come quickly, what could be better. Finally April, mornings on the piste are followed by late lunches in the sun, what could be better!
