Skiing Christmas
Being a high altitude resort with Christmas skiing as high as 3,275m (3,842m for off-piste skiing) the snow conditions and scope is virtually unlimited as well as very reliable with ski in ski out available year on year.
Underneath the Mont Blanc, Western Europe's highest mountain, Chamonix typically open's in November and Christmas has in many cases proved some of the best snow conditions with good snowfall November and December, crisp temperatures ensuring the snow stays in perfect condition, and very few skiers prior to the Christmas ski holidays having used the piste. Therefore expect to ski on some great groomed conditions.
