A typical week commences on Saturday with chalet changeover and cleaning duties. You will be expected to meet and greet each guest on arrival and in the evening you will conduct a short welcome speech and serve an aperitif before the evening meal. A three course menu is typically served to clients on Saturday and Tuesday evening, and at other times as and when required. A continental breakfast is served Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
Some driving is required on Tuesdays to collect clients from Chamonix and during Friday evening to transport clients to and from a restaurant.
Other duties include shopping, daily house keeping, preparing laundry for professional cleaning, hot tub daily maintenance, refuse disposal and gardening.
You must work as a team to organise your work efficiently and maintain daily records of expenditure.

Chalet Couple - Winter 2009/2010 - Host position still available
We are looking for couples or friends to run our exclusive luxury chalet during our busy ski season.
We pride ourselves on our high standard of client service to ensure each holiday is a unique and enjoyable experience. We therefore require a couple who can work to a high standard, be professional in their presentation and be comfortable and relaxed whilst liaising with guests.
The role of the chef is to ensure that all meals are prepared to a superior standard of cuisine. The chef is expected to cook and serve continental breakfast, four course evening meal (including a 2 course children’s menu) and afternoon tea and cakes. A flair for presentation is required in all aspects of this work. The chef must be an experienced chef with relevant qualifications and have worked as a chef de partie or sous chef in a 4 or 5 star restaurant or equivalent cordon bleu establishment.
The main role of chalet host is to liaise with clients on a day to day basis to ensure excellent levels of client satisfaction. You will assist the chef in preparing and serving all meals and provide a daily housekeeping service.
Working as a team we expect that you will ensure that all duties are fulfilled and that the chalet is run to an extremely high standard. On changeover day one member of staff will be expected to transfer clients to and from the airport whilst the other handles the chalet changeover. Other duties include: driving clients to and from their preferred lift station and other driving requirements within our service schedule, shopping and maintaining detailed records of expenditure to budget, clearing snow, daily hot tub routines and other chalet duties as and when required.
