Summer Holidays Chamonix In Full Flow

Schools Out For Summer!

SUMMER HOLIDAYS IN CHAMONIX

SUMMER HOLIDAYS

IN FULL FLOW

Many of you will be well aware that the schools summer holidays in the United Kingdom start this weekend and for many it is the signal that the summer holidays are really in full swing as families and friends flock to the sea, mountains, lakes and many other places for some fun activities, a little excitement,  some rest and relaxation or all three!

I guess that is the real benefit of Chamonix in the summer holidays, the fact that ‘you can have your cake and eat it’!. It has something for all tastes however you are feeling. Relax with some sightseeing and a long lunch, or race down zip wires or Mountain Bike courses at lightning fast speeds. As a consequence Summer bookings are once again going well here at Chamonix Exclusive and we have already welcomed some wonderful guests, some as far away as Saudi Arabia! Thank-you all for your patronage,  wonderful fellowship and trust. We do however have two weeks at the end of August still available so it’s not too late to come and join the Chamonix Summer party so to speak!

Tour de France

Avid cyclists will have seen the Tour du France passed close by this week in fantastic sunshine with the final ascent being one of our favourites, the Col de la Colombiere which starts at the bottom of the Chamonix valley.  It is just one of the great activities that Chamonix Exclusive has on its doorstep. Why not cycle the route yourself as we have availability from 18th August 2018? Leave the chalet and head down into Vaudagne, then Passy and Sallanches before heading on to Cluses and Scionzier where the climb starts. With 17km of HC climb to go, remember not to kick too early, the summit is full of devilment and plays tricks with you, one of the many elements that make it a truly classic climb. Hereinafter it is down to the Grand Bornard, a pretty village although most cyclists then head for the Col de Aravis for lunch at the top, and then Megeve and back to the chalet. Travelling once again via Passy and Vaudagne for a very well earned beer, hot chocolate, cup of tea (or whatever) and a long relaxing soak in the hot tub!
