Heavy Snowfall For Chamonix New Year Ski Holidays

The Chamonix Christmas ski holidays were certainly pretty special in terms of snowfall, only to be surpassed by the Chamonix New Year ski holidays with the 4m mark looking set to be passed at the top of the Grands Montets. At the moment the trend of snow on what seems to be every other day looks set to contine with up to another 60cm expected to fall in the next 24 hours.

Luxury Chalets Chamonix See Heavy Snowfall

Our luxury chalets in Chamonix have once again seen a heavy snowfall with 40 to 50cm of snow having fallen in the last 24 hours. With many slopes having over 2m of snow, the start to the ski season has been and exceptional one, making a mockery of the inaccurate reports in the British press regarding the snow conditions to be the worst in 147 years!

It is still early days, but the season looks set to prove to be a bumper one on the snow front and our luxury chalets Chamonix collection still has availability, although the finest of all Chamonix ski in ski out chalets, Chalet Prarion, has only limited dates during February.

Chamonix Christmas Ski Holidays

Firstly, a very happy Christmas from Chamonix Exclusive, we hope you had a wonderful festive time. Here in Chamonix, our luxury chalets Chamonix guests have just enjoyed a fabulous Chamonix Christmas ski holiday and once again we are pleased to have received glowing reports after their stay.

The snow once again was wonderful with most slopes enjoying over one and half metres, with 50cm falling during the Christmas ski holidays. It certainly made for a very good Chamonix Christmas and extracts of the skiing on Christmas Day can be found below or on our Chamonix Exclusive You Tube page.

Chamonix Christmas Ski Holidays Set For Snow Bonaza

Here at the finest of all the Chamonix ski in ski out chalets, heavy snow the last two weeks and this week has ensured that it will be yet another very merry and snowy Chamonix Christmas ski holiday at Chalet Prarion and the luxury Chalet Panoramique, two of the best luxury chalets Chamonix has to offer. Snow is already falling with more forecast Thursday, Friday and at the weekend.Over 50cm is expected with some reports suggesting nearly 1 metre of snow in the next 5 days.

Less Than 5 Weeks Until Christmas in Chamonix

It is quite hard to believe here at Chamonix Exclusive that it is now less than 5 weeks before the Chamonix Christmas ski holiday celebrations commence at ski in ski out Chalet Prarion and the boutique luxury ski Chalet Panoramique. The preparations for Christmas and the Chamonix New Year ski holidays have already started with Christmas lights and decorations already out of the packaging and in some cases, on the tree! Zub Zero Temperatures Grip Chamonix Ski Chalets

Chamonix ski chalets once again are rising this morning to temperatures well below freezing across the Chamonix Valley with no signs of abating over the next week. With sunny periods throughout the day temperatures are climbing just above freezing in south facing areas, but out of the sunshine there is a real bite to the air.
