The courses have been developed to ensure there is something for everyone, whether you are an early intermediate who would enjoy gentle picturesque slopes on the ski safari or an expert skier looking for steep couloirs on the Back Country Adventure course:

Simon Abrahams Mountain Guides© are all handpicked, English speaking (their first language) and IFMGA qualified. As certified IFMGA guides they are licensed and insured to take clients on and off-piste and have extensive knowledge of the Chamonix Valley, and surrounding ski areas. Their extensive knowledge of the ski regions means that you can enjoy lunch at the best restaurants, with many off the beaten track and only known to the locals, to ensure you not only get the best conditions, but also the best mountain dining!

Simon Abraham’s Mountain Guides© have supported and guided polar projects and expeditions, and also advised on the filming of Batman Begins, James Bond – Die Another Day, Shackleton's Antarctic Adventure, Blizzard: Race to the Pole, and Where The Heart Is.

Ability: Early Intermediates through to Advanced.

Objective: Experience and enjoy a wide variety of runs and ski areas and Savoyard dining at cosy mountainside restaurants.

Duration: One, three or six days (you can also choose alternating days on the 3 day course).

The ski safari is aimed at intermediate skiers confident in parallel turns, competent snowboarders and advanced level and above. Your guide will consult with you (or your group) at the start of your holiday and select the ski resorts that offer the best slopes and snow conditions based on your ability and aspirations. Whether you want to stay on the piste or would like to try some off-piste skiing, you’ll never be too far from the lifts. The ski safari is designed to ensure you enjoy great skiing, fantastic scenery, and the delights of great Savoyard food.

Ski not only the Chamonix Valley, but Courmayeur, Megeve, Saint Gervais, Contamines and the world famous Vallee Blanche. For guests looking for the ultimate adventure the ski safari can also be extended to include Verbier or Zermatt.

Ability: Intermediates through to Advanced (no previous off-piste skiing experience necessary).

Objective: Gain a good understanding of the basic skills in assessing and skiing off-piste.

Duration: Three or six days.

Courses are offered on a three and six day basis and aimed at intermediates, advanced, and expert skiers. The Guide will assess your ability and gear the course, its instruction, and terrain to fit the ability and level of your group.

This course has been designed to build on your understanding of the weather and its effects on snow conditions, the terrain you intend to ski, how to choose the best ski lines, and how to get the best out of your ability in all mountain conditions.

Each course also includes a one day option to ski or snowboard the world famous Vallee Blanche with your guide.

Ability: Advanced and Experts

Objective: Experience the real back country, away from the crowds, whilst improving back country craft and understanding.

Duration: Three or six days.

Aimed at advanced and expert skiers / snow boarders, this course enables you to really experience the back country off-piste away from the crowds, to ski magnificent steep and deep terrain with an experienced guide who will help you evaluate weather, snow conditions, the terrain and select the very best ski lines. Through expert tuition you will build on your existing knowledge and techniques, ski the best off-piste slopes in the Chamonix region, whilst improving your skill in assessing terrain, weather and its impact, and ski / snowboard route planning.

Skiers please note that ski touring skis and ski boots will be required for this course which if required can be hired through our partner Battendier Sports but should be pre-booked through Chamonix Exclusive prior to arrival to ensure availability.

As well as offering the Vallée Blanche through the above courses, we are also able provide, through Simon Abrahams Mountain Guides©, a full days guiding down the Vallée Blanche and time permitting afterwards, to experience other local areas to complete a memorable day. 17km long and a descent of 2,800m, the Vallée Blanche offers spectacular scenery with majestic peaks and séracs, snow bridges crossing crevasses, and fresh powder on its variant routes.
